SUMMARY:WPI Research Experience for Teachers (RET)
DESCRIPTION:In this 6 week summer program\, WPI will be pairing five in-service and pre-service teachers to attended workshops and conduct research based on ideas such as healthy lives\, clean energy\, and climate action. DESCRIPTION:MSEF is collaborating with teachers across the state to provide professional development for middle and high school teachers. \nPRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED \nMiddle School Focus \nRegis College\, Weston \nHost: Erin McQuaid\, Regis College \n9 a.m. – 2 p.m.\, lunch provided \n  \nMorning Focus – Middle School Paperwork and Process \nDescription: In this session participants will learn how to plan\, organize and execute a Middle School Science Fair Program. Participants will learn about various models and identify the best approach for their situation. We’ll walk you through the rules and systems for managing timelines\, paperwork\, and approvals so that you can focus more on teaching and supporting students. \n  \nAfternoon Focus – Middle School Strategies for Success \nDescription:  In the afternoon\, we will review popular strategies for idea generation\, providing feedback for students\, and alignment with classroom lessons. Come prepared to share your own successes and challenges for discussion. \n  \nThese programs are free of charge to teachers.  \nThese programs are designed for classroom teachers and school leaders.  \nSpace is limited.
