Regional Fairs: Middle School and High School

Many high schools across the state sponsor their own Science & Engineering Fairs at the school, district, or community level. These local Fairs give students a chance to share with classmates their ideas, discoveries, and enthusiasms for science. Local Fairs provide an excellent training ground for students to sharpen communication and presentation skills. Schools that don’t have school level fairs are still eligible to send students to the Regional and State Fairs

There are six Regional Science Fair organizations located across Massachusetts. Participation at the State Fair is based on projects that are approved for participation at the Regional level.

Students are encouraged to participate in their respective regional fairs as this provides the student with an opportunity to meet students from other schools and sharpen communication skills. Schools will communicate directly with the Regional Chair for registration information.
