Get Involved and Support MSEF

Thank you to our supporters!

MSEF’s supporters include leading companies, foundations, and organizations that are committed to increasing access to authentic STEM education.

Together, we bring the power of student-led independent STEM research to schools across the Commonwealth—preparing the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders.

By sponsoring MSEF or making a charitable gift, your organization helps ensure that thousands of students and educators each year have the tools, guidance, and opportunities they need to succeed. Your support also connects your company to a statewide network of schools, educators, and families, with visible recognition across our programs, events, and communications.

  • What is MSEF’s Getting Science Fair Ready program?

Our Getting Science Fair Ready (GSFR) program fosters meaningful STEM engagement through the science fair process.

Students embark on a year-long STEM journey, selecting topics they’re passionate about and developing them into independent research projects. This process mirrors the work of scientists and engineers as students:

    • Develop experimental questions.
    • Design and conduct experiments.
    • Analyze data and draw conclusions.
    • Presenting findings to STEM professionals.

Our project-based learning model makes STEM education both meaningful and accessible, equipping students with essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication.

Through their science fair journey, students gain access to a supportive community of peers, educators, and STEM mentors. These connections help build student confidence, provide critical academic and professional guidance, and foster a sense of belonging in STEM.

  • Tell me about the State Science Fairs

Massachusetts Science & Engineering Fairs are the culmination of months of student-driven research, where middle and high school students showcase their work to industry and academic professionals.

These fairs provide a unique opportunity for students to present their findings, refine their communication skills, and gain valuable feedback from STEM leaders. Beyond recognition and awards, participating students build confidence, expand their professional networks, and gain real-world experience that prepares them for future academic and career success.
